It may not be in India's best economic interests to join other countries in their sanctions against Russia, but sometimes it's much more important to do what's decent and right!

In the free West no decent person cares what Putin and his minions think, or plan to do, because we know that they are vicious psychopaths that can't be trusted. 70,000 to 80,000 of their Orcs have now been killed, and the rate of their attrition will keep going up. A few easily concealed cm^3 placed in a Moscow reservoir could take out the entire city, so why waste it on just a few Orcs. This is especially true at a nuclear site where all you have to do is lace the food with a tiny amount of some alpha emitter. The soldiers' deaths can then be blamed on their own stupidity.
