Aren't people just a little fed up with this baseless panicking? These nasty, frightened little boys in Downing Street are infringing people's rights, and making their lives a misery "just in case" there's a big bad variant hiding in the bushes. The FACT is that after 18 months we haven't got strong scientific or statistical evidence to support any variant being significantly more infectious or deadly. All we have is ministers gibbering like frightened children over the very remote possibility that variants are suddenly going to start behaving totally differently than they have in the last 18 months. Is this a valid excuse for messing with people's lives?
