  1. I've said it before, Sam Harris was an acolyte of the late Christopher Hitchens. Hitchens personified orgiastic hubris. He was enormously listenable and well read, but a huge amount of his output effectively amounted to a mellifluous English accent and an invitation to join him on the moral high ground. It's a sad indictment but audiences would frequently be seduced by his feel-good misdirection at the expense of intellectual rigour.  Harris' followers display a similar appetite. At this stage it's little more than an intellectually dishonest jamboree.
