Comments by "Sammy B" (@sammyb1651) on "Addressing FEMALE DISRESPECT: why this is essential to relationship success" video.
Just imagine a "relationship" where one party has to constantly remain primed to subdue acts of disrespect, lest they lose their partner's love, while the other party can behave in ways which are piteous and STILL be loved regardless. Not only that, the culture tells them THEY'RE the one that's settling for less than their worth, too. Yeah, it's a hard pass from me.

@Shutzie27 Most of the time women don't take the "time, effort and energy" communicating for the man's benefit. It's because they want something. You make it sound like it's some sort of benevolent act they're engaged in. I've been told by women they were "worried about me" when I don't reply to texts. I know that's not true because I know women don't spend their time worrying about grown men. What they actually wanted was validation or attention (or sometimes favours/jobs etc). But I know for a fact it wasn't for my benefit first and foremost. Lol. Because of the internet people are waking up to this sh!t tbh. And a good thing it is too.

Not totally convinced every read message warrants a response tbh. Certainly I don't believe you're automatically entitled to a response merely because you message someone. And particularly if it's unsolicited. Some people text incessantly and completely inappropriately. Women feel a "need" to communicate far more than men do and obviously a lot of the time it's an utter waste of time. It's only recently we're finally hearing some pushback against the gynocentric narrative that the female experience of the world is the only 'correct' way to behave and interact. Thank goodness as it is long, LONG overdue.

@Shutzie27 I can respond to what I want. That's the material point. You're the one contradicting yourself, responding after you said you were done. Teehee!

Just an observation, but can I assume you're an Asian female in a majority white country? In that case wasn't it just statistically more likely for the rudeness to have come from a white woman? As your Latina friend correctly guessed. I don't think there's much to be gained in racialising topics like this. Or most things in fact. Women are rude and disrespectful regardless of creed or colour.
