Yeah, this was fairly wayward tbh. A girl who's in "love" is NOT going to be satisfied with just remaining "in love". She's going to want to put the 'label' (of marriage) on it. And you can reasonably predict that she will exit the relationship if you refuse. The idea she's going to remain loyal to the emotion providing you "kindle and maintain" it is naive. Make no mistake, she wants the label because she knows the benefits that accrue. Conversely it's why men often try to resist the labelling exercise. At the end of the day, genuine love is sacrificial. "Feelings" by contrast are simply a warm and pleasant sensation that you're getting something you want. They're acquisitive, not sacrificial. They're two very different things. Hence it wouldn't matter if you kept "kindling" them, unless the person is offered the actual benefit they perceive (the label), they'll be out the door.
