  2. It's often also cited because they believe it absolves them of liability (blame) for a breakup they caused. Ie she would have stayed and worked through it if only the guy had just been willing to fight for her! So the blame was actually with the guy! Righto! Once you realise EVERYTHING circles back to a self-centred, zero accountability model for them you begin to prioritise your sanity and refuse to participate.  @whocarescrapsa
