@kebakent you'd only give that kindof talk to an audience of mostly women. Which is probably what this is.

@jigme800 ah good it wasn't just me then, i found it quite distracting. It seems to me to be an act, deliberate, to manipulatively milk pity from the audience.

@SaniyaCanada even if the whole audience stood up, you're not going to have many men standing up. Because there isn't many men there.

I can't shake this feeling of disingenuity when listening to her. Her wavering emotional voice and passionate gestures remind me of a religious leader who has cultivated these manipulative skills. I got some good stuff outof the middle of the talk, like how Pity is different to Compassion (i'd like to have heard more about that distinction), and i thought the "you cannot be attached to outcome" advice was also good.
