As an EX-creationist, the mention of "6000 years of history" at the end makes me quite nervous, since creationists think that humanity is only 6000 years old. I can just see them quoting that last line in the video to support their creationist case :( Just so i've got this right, what is the "6000 years of history" in this video referring to? Is that just roughly how far back we can trace the Indo-European language tree? Or all known languages? Or something else?

" i assume you're purely referring to linguistic history, yes? ie: Not the history of writing (this is 6000 years), nor evidence of human history (much older again), nor geologic history (billions of years). I ask because given the subject matter (creationists) your words aren't entirely clear.
