After so many great videos from Peter, watching him interact with so many uplifting, insightful people, this was a bit of a let down. 😏 The random person who was been traveling for 15 months--the perfect form of escapism--who thinks that the problems in the world right now are bc of everyone else not being selfish enough? Not exactly an inspiring message. She doesn't know the answer to her Chinese friends question as to why we watch the news (as opposed to why they don't in China)? She thinks that the divorce rate has gone up bc people are suddenly realizing they are with the wrong person? She thinks people in the Western World (which I am not sure she can define) take what they have for granted? But after Joshua Tree, she is going to Mexico, bc ppl there are happier.... she may want to actually rejoin society and understand what is actually going on in the real world. It might give her some perspective on reality--not the fantasy world she has created for herself as she flits around the globe--and then maybe she can better understand the real life struggles and challenges we are all facing in our daily lives before she comes to such critical conclusions.
