  1. The male reporter is not describing where he is very well. He is across the street from The Grove, a famous outdoor shopping center (if you read People Magazine you have seen it). The rioters trashed and looted the Apple store inside, the Nordstroms and other smaller shops. They then marched down Fairfax and Beverly and tagged up and looted almost every store. After dark it got very out of control with large fires being started and ppl breaking into shops and stealing the ATMs inside. Even pulling up with pick up trucks and driving them away. It all seemed very organized. On Sunday night we had a curfew of 4pm in some neighborhoods like Beverly Hills and West Hollywood (which are separate cities) and 6pm in LA County. It has been terribly frightening and is all just senseless violence. There was a text that went out to thousands saying that they would be moving onto residences next. My block has a whatsapp group and we hired 2 armed guards to police our street all night. That is how awful and stressful it got.
