  2.  @user-qq4tj8gm8b  Downs syndrome is not a disability. It is a genetic birth defect defined as an extra 21st chromosome that occurs before conception. It is not something that occurs while developing. In the womb or otherwise. Downs syndrome can cause disabilities such as autism, however many kids with Downs syndrome lead very full lives. One can test before pregnancy to see how high the percentage of risk there is that a baby will be born with this, or other, genetic defects, before pregnancy.
