They would, and they have. Just because there isn't a huge PR campaign built around it, or you haven't seen or read the stories, does not mean it isn't happening. You can't lump a whole town under one label. It just makes it harder for us to fundraise from people who have for people who need it.

@amandaowens2016 who is "Them?" LA is a big place and the industry (or "Hollywood") is made up of a lot if people doing a lot of jobs to keep Hollywood (the industry and the city) running. Yes, you see recognizable names on TV or on social media. They are not the wealthiest people here, not the most generous. They also don't all share the same political views. They do however, have agents who will warn them not to say anything for fear of being cancelled. And the guy telling them that also has a family and a business, or staff, that he or she is responsible for. It is a whole house of cards and a handful of people with big mouths hardly represent the entire city!

@amandaowens2016 when people started putting a price on what they think being more important than one's freedom to say it. Cancel culture is the problem with this country. And when people go online and say "boycott" Hollywood, what they are really saying is "I don't like what they had to say and I don't share their opinion so I am going to boycott them until they fail and can no longer post what they think, because I don't want to gear it anymore." That is what happened to the freedom of speech of those with a platform, when people don't like what they are saying. And if their livelihood depends on it, they end up forced to be quiet. No one gives out praise or awards for saying what they think. Unless it is what everyone else thinks. It isn't selfish. It is called survival.
