  1. Oh Saagar... I love you guys! You are always so intelligent and I count on you both to give us a daily, balanced, overview of today's news. But you don't know what Zoonosis is??? Maybe it is because I am married to a veterinarian and own an animal hospital (and I feel like I spent 4 years in vetmed school along with my husband), but if you don't understand zoonosis and zoonotic diseases (diseases that jump from animals to humans), than you don't understand the basic concept of Covid-19, which supposedly came from a bat. Or swine flu, which came from a pig. Or avian flu. Which came from (you guessed it!), birds...! It always starts with the veterinarians...which is why you will always find vets on staff at the CDC, WHO, or any other org that studies these diseases. And why we need them when we study the diseases and the potential cures that we test first on animals....
