  4. You could care less?? Well, that is hopeful at least! But I am still not sure what your point was. If you are taxed but not represented, then you likely benefit from a strong US economy. But you also likely can't vote, so it doesn't really matter.

Just the other day I was saying "can't her personal shopper and her stylist stop shopping the sale rack at Macy's and get her some good clothes?? Or is she trying to signal to middle America?" So, that is my perspective. I think she looks cheap and poorly dressed (please someone get her a good tailor!). And you think her clothes are fancy. And THAT is what is wrong with diversity in America and why no one sees eye to eye. No one understands the gap or how to speak to it!

  8.  @amandap9332  Firstly, they are not her. They belong to the company she works for. The studios will often repurpose some items as they mix and match for other broadcasters and other shows. But that is also why they are not actually that expensive (likely from Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc). As long as one has a good tailor (a tailor is always on staff), they can make anything look like couture, rather than off the rack. Once they are out of style, they are all donated (and the company takes a tax write off so everyone wins), apart from the few pieces she may ask to keep. That is how we do it in LA and I am sure DC is the same. Same thing goes for all the food that goes uneaten daily from film production craft services (it is a lot harder for actors to get to keep movie outfits, btw). The budget for her clothes is a drop in the bucket in the scheme off the things, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  9.  @amandap9332  And I will say, working with many non-profits here in LA, where I do dinners for 1,000+ ppl (think the room where the Golden Globes, etc are held, as that us the largest ballroom in LA), that go for hundreds to thousands a plate, I always organize to have an org pick up the leftover food at the end of the night. It has become so difficult to actually give the leftover food away bc they changed the laws. The city would rather have dumpster divers, than homeless ppl eat filet mignon, bc "it sat out for too many hours and ppl may get sick and sue." It has gotten almost too hard to be nice. The insurance costs to protect yourself is prohibitive. Point being, it is a lot more difficult than you would think, even when one means well. And the Dems are to blame, unfortunately.
