  1. Wow! I also dislike Jane Austen. I don't know why, have read them all, seen all versions, and she just doesn't speak to me! (And when she does, in my head, she is always whining in a self superior, sanctimonious way...) And I adore period pieces. Cannot get enough of them! And I have never met someone else who also dislikes Jane Austen. Phew, I feel better now, lol! Fun video! Have you ever done one on hats? As a big wearer of hats and have some friends here in LA who do hats for the industry, I would enjoy it!

  2. Another sidenote--my biggest pet peeve, as a rider, are stirrups! Every movie, regardless of the year it takes place, always shows the rider in a saddle with stirrups. The Romans never used stirrups as they had not been invented yet, and did not appear in Europe until the 8th Century (and were used for the first time, even later in Britain!).
