  1. Just remember that it a highly dramatized Netflix show, based in a book, based on one individual's experience. One should not think that the show is a window into the entire community. Just one person's story.

  3. I am not sure if you have seen Shtisel, a more normal, everyday look into Ultra-Orthodox Jewish life. But understand that One of Us and Unorthodox are Netflix stories of extreme outliers, same as in any society. And the rest of them don't "need" anything and would not go to a regular school where one learns about the internet, etc. They have been living without it for hundreds of years and don't need it now. I recommend Oprah's visit with the Ultra-Orthodox Haredi Community in Brooklyn where they explain it better.
