  1. Not every faith allows one to pray at home, alone. While, in Judaism, there are some prayers one can say alone, the are many, some being the more "important" than others, in which one needs a minyan--a quorum of 10 men. Such as Kaddish (the prayer for the dead), which one can ONLY say with a minyan, but is also required to recite it 3x a day for the first year after a family member passes.
