@shelliewolske8977 Absolutely! Big pharma! I know plenty of people who don't hesitate when it comes to a polio or MMR vax, but they are not going near a covid-19 vaccine for quite a few years.

Children are not wild animals running free without supervision. Even if they have to be told over and over, eventually they comply. Just like they learn please and thank you, going to the bathroom and washing their hands, or how to brush their teeth. It will be just one more thing they have to learn in school. Like raising your hand and not calling out.

@Hawijack Yet we are the only country without socialized medicine and every country who does have it had the same problems. No country's healthcare system is designed to support an outbreak like this.

@Hawijack You mean like Sweden? Yes, that was a great idea. Driven by their economy. It is a novel drug. No one knows what they are doing. It is all a game of roulette. Some get lucky. Some places don't. We wait and see, or we get a vaccine. Or people stop politicizing everything and let the qualified people do their jobs until we have treatments, cures, or vaccines.

Yes you can. You just need to sign a waiver. Weather it is based on a religious basis, or an "I am a crazy anti-vaxer" basis, it is pretty easy to send your kids to school without the chicken pox vaccine. I did it when it first came out. I wanted to wait a few years and see...years later I gave it to them. Hopefully there isn't a problem with it like the Dow anti-nausea drugs pregnant woman were given in the 70's. That is what scares me about drugs and vaccines without a long history of no issues!

Trump aside, people hate wearing masks. Yes, some use politics as an excuse, and we fight with them all the time. Surgeons who wears masks practically all day long, and even enforce the current law in our state, still refuse to wear a mask during their off time, when they (still) host BBQ's, etc. They couldn't care less about what Trump says or does. They just think that they won't get it. Like all the other who think they are immune. No one is immune! But it is no different than the gun argument, or vaccines, or even abortion. People want the right to choose what they do in their private time, and their are enough of them to gather and spread Covid-19. Thus won't be over in November and even if Biden wins, you will see the same problems. You can't blame it on anyone in government.

@Hawijack Covid should hardly be the moment that Americans realize we need socialized medicine! Anyone paying attention for more than a minute knows this has long since been a problem. That is why so many candidates run on a Healthcare platform. And even more so, look at how many countries WITH socialized medicine STILL overwhelmed their system. NO system is designed to be prepared for 110%+ capacity in every city at once. Socialized or not.

Many, and it sounds like most, of these situations are not Covid-related fatalities. As awful as it is, why is MSNBC posting fake clickbait saying that it is all Covid related??? Very irresponsible reporting. Dare I say it.... FAKE NEWS!!
