@randomfools808 It will definitely spread like overseas. I woke this morning to hear about a second case in New York. Few hours later, I found out from my son (living 10K miles away), that case 2 in New York was his roommates friends father. Then they confirmed the father was positive. His kids schools were closed for the day. His son has shown symptoms and we are awaiting confirmation. In the meantime, we found out where he was this past weekend. If he spread it to people there, we are looking at 100's who should be tested. Then found out a guest at one of the events is in self-quarantine. I watched it play out in a matter of hours. The father has been sick since January. And traveled within the US and abroad. Just think of everyone he came into contact with?? Scared what I will wake up to tomorrow!

tzipporah batami It is apparently all over WeChat (their allowed version of social media). Many there have seen it but not on You Tube so they can't post (thank g-d bc otherwise they would also see all the crazy trolls and their posts!).

You are very right. But to add to that, while a virus does not have "a brain", they are very smart and can adapt and mutate very quickly. Which would make this even scarier!

@JK-xz6mj Das war wohl unnötig und ist bestimmt vielem Deutschen peinlich...
1
Of course they aren't. They are Jews. Not Christians.

Most expired meds are fine (except for erythromycin--that one should be thrown away if out of date). And if it is that or nothing in places like Africa, they should have let them in. They are there to help!
1
@swatdowg People in certain countries whose options are a few months expired vs. nothing at all feel differently.
1
@-Gumbo It was actually a very small turnout. Most mass prayer gatherings (such as for the kidnapped soldier) fills the entire plaza so full you can't even move. Most Israelis are keeping to themselves right now. And preparing, just in case... watch the video of Ben Yehuda street last night when they thought there was a woman who has been infected. They practically sent a swat team to contain the area!
1
Not necessarily, but depending on the numbers we don't even really have, incubation period, the Ro (R naught), fomites, etc. she could have infected just the crew alone which could lead to hundreds more infections. It is still scary and they definitely didn't handle it correctly. But they were still going on risk/reward.

@coldlessons Yet without proper testing we will never know. Or won't know until after the fact when and if the proper data can be collected. Then we would have an Ro figure.

Stop eating filth? Who? What does that even mean?

Dreamssofblue Harmony Not to those who understand

Zion Yahsharahla And Israel has plenty of black Jews too. Israel was the one who saved the Ethiopians and got them all out and back to Israel!
1
@yakov95000 Absolutely. That is the job of a country's government. To protect its people.
1
@ed-qi3cx And? What did you find out? Did you report the flight number and her seat number to the CDC? That could be very helpful to them. Send them an email. There are people whose jobs it is just to backtrack people's movements and while 80% of the carriers may show no signs, at some point that flight number may help someone researching movements of infected patients. Worth just one email...

They are saying Tehillim. What is wrong with praying in front of cameras?? Or taking a selfie??
1
The Israelis are the closest to having a vaccine.
1
@Mr2TIMOTHY4V2 You keep the Torah, do you? Or do you pick and choose what suits you?
1
amy benje Were you there?
1
@Mr2TIMOTHY4V2 You wear techieles everyday? (No, I am not Christian)
1
@Mr2TIMOTHY4V2 Tzitzit (pl, transliterated) are the fringes. Techieles are the blue threads amongst them.

They are reciting Tehillim (Psalms), which is done for the sick (and for other reasons, with specific Psalms for specific occasions/needs). And very often done in groups which is why there was a gathering. While it really isn't necessary to hold hands and not smart right now, I have seen that Plaza packed wall to wall with people in prayer. This was a very light turnout which means most Israelis did not want to be part of a mass prayer in order to avoid exposure.

tzipporah batami However, culturally, in business, their view of Jews is very different. They think that Jews are "very smart" (that is what they will say to be politically correct), and therefore in negotiations, they have to be extra careful bc they think they will be taken advantage of. They are fairly irreverent of Jews in today's culture, unfortunately.

@kevinhernandez3617 Some people never left.
