Oh please! AOC grew up with more white privilege than my friends who graduated Harvard, Princeton AND Yale all put together!

Atleast it is good practice if you are planning on voting for Biden!

Everyone needs to differentiate between home schooling and Zoom schooling. They are completely different. And as far as taxes, 2 of my 4 kids go to private school and I get nothing back on my taxes. Vote for school vouchers!!!

Just bc it is private doesn't make it safer. Or mean it will open in the Fall. Our school board has been having weekly board meetings (that last hours), trying to prepare and get ahead of the game. But bottom line, we have all agreed if the State says we are closed, we are back to Zoom...

@jefferypinley4336 Depends on their age and grade.

@jefferypinley4336 By law, which varies per state, you can't even leave a 16 yr old alone (yet in some states they can drive). People who want or need to leave their kids home, need to ideally sign up for a homeschooling program in their state. They can't just pull them out. It is against the law. But making ppl stay home and not work for another semester or year is clearly not a plan. So it is two separate issues. And even those of us with teens are still waiting to hear, with issues to deal with. Who wants to send a kid off to college at $40-80k a year, when "off to college" now means "off to their bedroom", still in your house, so they can play 10 more hours of fortnite?? Not me! It is a problem for every parent!

That is why schools have boards and PTA, etc. That is where each parent can voice their concerns and handle each situation individually. As a board member at my kids school, we have been discussing this since it started. Adjusting, tweaking, trying to improve. No school is just sitting and waiting for the final word. It is impossible to run a school that way. Either get involved and be part of the solution, or just complain about random news clips and then you are just part of the problem!
