  1.  @Peace-iz7gj  I did just learn it is a Texas thing, shocked as I was! But even though I learned ab5black history in HS as well as took a class in it in college, this is first I have heard about it! I asked my IVY friends too, and they hadn't a clue before this week. I am beginning to wonder how many people really did know about it before last week! The media strikes again!

  3.  @Peace-iz7gj  And this week is incredibly painful! I went to the #1 rated HS in the country (still #1 35 yes later) and didn't recall learning about Juneteenth. I asked my friend who graduated Harvard (his kids couldn't pass the test to get into our HS) if he had learned it in school. Nope... guess it was white privilege. Except that our HS was free, and we didn't design the curriculums. Yet I am supposed to feel guilty AND stupid at the same time (and do I have to give back my Mensa card?).
