I think the most important is emotional maturity, emotional, intellectual, sexual connections & common goals. Marriage and family require responsibility, sacrifices & commitment. Relationships have been overly romanticised & as a result people have too high expectations of bliss & happiness. It is a fulfilling, meaningful life that can be an enormous impuls for growth. Not fairytale fantasy.

@lemonsplash2511 I agree. Being too comfortable, although it is not peoples' fault where they were born, can bring a different degree of detachment from reality. Meaning people can be more prone to illusions & loose common sense. There's more so-called personality disorders & so on. It is how the culture shapes them. Making them susceptible to fall pray to ideologies, including new myths brought by many speculative truths said by modern science . It happened for example in the Roman Empire. It is happening now in rich countries. Having said that l also think that people who were born in places where the harshness of life and difficult living conditions made them to be extremely "down to earth" and developed their resourcefulness & maturity should get aware if they are not living merely in the survival mode, which is restricted to the survival only. I'm not referring to what this lady has said. I don't know her. More in general terms. I lived in Eastern Europe and in rich Western Europe. I draw it from my limited experience. That was what struck me.
