  1. Great comment. Thanks ! Cynicism seems like a few intertwined defence mechanisms, which usually are self-fulfilling "prophecy" about reality. There is no novelty seeking behaviour & fresh, creative thinking there to invigorate one's life. There is no risk taking to risk one's own way of life & way of thinking. Nailed on! I think that "victim mentality" comes from childhood experiences. It unconsciously says :" We are doomed, there is no way we can change things for better & turn around our own lives. We can not trust others. They want only bad for us. Let's mercilessly devalue everyone & everything. There is no loving God - benevolent, loving life force. There is nothing - nihilism ". Very sad, passive & untrue!
