  4. ​@T-Xma77 l can relate to this. Thank you for your comment. I knew someone who was constantly depressed, regardless of brilliant mind & interest in science. He was lonely.He had terrible upbringing & as a result a mental illness, he refused to treat. I think schizoaffective disorder. A bad enough ailment. He used to have massive obsession with evil, corruption of peoples'minds, including his mind, etc. trying to figure it out on his own. It causes great mental suffering to him. In the form of depression & suicidal thoughts, great anxiety. On an emotional level, he was wrecked. It was really hard for me to witness it. One day, he said he is giving everything over to God, to fix things & to deal with evil, also evil ingrained in him & other people. He stopped overly obsessing on bad stuff. He has got more strength to do good. I believe that dealing with evil is difficult & painful, burdening, and bewildering. I can also see how relying on "the greater power" can help & it is a real thing. The peace is overwhelming but also comes from loving, trusting heart & from trust in a benevolent greater power that transcends us & can fix all the mess we do. I can not disregard witnessing miracles. Science doesn't explain it, but my experiences are real.
