  3. Good points. Interesting technology, which can do amazing things for people who want to develop this type of skill, get entertainment or distract themselves from mundane tasks of life. But there is nothing better than emotionally, intelectually rewarding, deep human contact. For example eye to eye contact is necessary to feel acknowledged (not just distracted from unpleasant emotions as a response to loneliness and isolation) and much more. Touch (hug) is needed for soothing, feeling safe and much more. Developing human emotional and relationships skills is necessary for the development of personality to be able to live fulfilling lives. We humans develop in relationships with others. Although other people can be so annoying and pain in the ar$e. Learning how to deal with this pain and discomfort is crucial to reap the rewards. It is much better than escapism. Suicide often times, is a result of untreated serious mental illness and feeling rejected by others.
