  1. Great conversation. Story of trauma. Good & bad sides of it. Driving & damaging. I am amazed at how deeply psychologically you both understand it. Having said that l always affirm the role of good, deep, insightful, close relationships, including psychotherapy, in healing of trauma & that the goal is to heal it, regardless the benefits of individual trauma for the humanity. Trauma, in its negative manifestation, is damaging individuals & and society because it carries unresolved pain, which manifests in acted out pain that spreads. I witness how deeply transformational for a person is the process of healing trauma. Thank you both for this beautiful, insightful conversation. Great documentary The wisdom of trauma by Gabor Mate. I watched recently & l have been very moved by it.
