  2. My partner and I did a stint of night watchmen on the docks. The boats unloaded their wares. It was left on the quay until the next morning. Along came a police car, slowed down, gave us a nod and made their way towards the boxes of hoods. I went across as they were loading up the Jersey Royal potatoes into their boot. I told them straight to put them back as it is our job to protect anything on these docks. They looked surprised, a woman confronting them but, it was our heads on the line and out wage packets so..they did put them back. Then they came sat in the caravan and had a cuppa and biscuits..hahahaha!

  3. When there were the same bobbies on the beat, you respected them as they would give you a good clip around the ears and drag you home by your ear! Then you got a hiding from your father for bringing police to the door! We were not allowed to play on the bomb sites. This was in the 60’s. The police had respect back then.   5. Being responsible for other money..Nooooooo! My man dabbles in virtual currency, he gets asked by some what one should I invest in. He always tells them the risks and he will not give them info as it is like anything else, a gamble as they go up, and they go down. Know when to hold em, know when to fold them scenario. Tells them to self educate for about a year before doing anything.
