  3. I had family that lived in Bermondsey, used to visit them a lot, now it is their grown children that live there. Lost touch but they became affluent so perhaps they have moved out of London now? As a young lady I would catch the train, then go on the underground, go to Carnaby street ect. I stopped visiting in the late 80’s. It had changed back then, a palatable change, unsafe! Now I had to really think about going to the O2 to watch Micky Flanagan. I went as it was a weekend with my daughter, she wanted to walk back to the hotel, me in a wheelchair. We took off our earring’s rings, hid them in my boots. You feel totally vulnerable. Well I did! Ended up walking with another nice couple so I felt safer. We need to regain our country.
