I find it fascinating that some modern Americans are pro-NeoSoviet. The early Cold War was so long ago and our primary education system has been trash since the 1970s so ignorance is no surprise, but but to support Russia is to support the entity responsible for the entire global Left. When the USSR was first contained no one was naively squalling for an end date because the conflict was understood to be cultural and PERMANENT. Russia has never not been an existential threat to Western civilization. Russia is not European, it is Asiatic and can never share civilized morality. Its victims in eastern Europe from Finland south know the score.
