  2. This is just China being China, with the bonus of its opponents trade paying for its entire armed forces. The US trade imbalance alone is more than Beijing spends on its armed forces. If we want peace that requires credible conventional and nuclear deterrents. Thoughts and prayers work no better on Beijing than they did on Imperial Japan.

  3. GOOD. WFH and modern comms permit reduced martydom. Bosses who want little personal empires lose. Bosses who know how to leverage a happy workforce PROFIT. We get PAID to work because work is COMPENSATED SUFFERING. The gent who pumped my septic tank is wildly unlikely to want it for a hobby. When "work" is information management then it can be done flexibly! Most "boomers" (I am one) are as ignorant and stupid as EVERY generation. Generations differ but the average human is none too bright so they buy into the idea of suffering as noble (supersititon is a major player here) but I do not. All that matters is that the work GETS DONE, suffering is not a value-add. As for housing more should be built which means government encouragement of construction. Australia and Canada have vast empty spaces yet housing is absurdly expensive. Ban foriegn residential real estate investment and much of that would be solved.
