@darrylwikohika9068 Puerto Rico is free to demand secession and would not be missed. It's of no strategic value and negative economic value so of no functional use to the US. How do you manage not to know anything about the situation? You type like an illiterate. Educate yourself. Puerto Rico voted to ratify its 1952 Constitution (which it previously drafted) and the unique economic status as a Commonwealth brought more business than otherwise to PR. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_Puerto_Rico If it left the US no one else would miss it because it's poor and corrupt despite massive US investment. Please go there and promote that as it would save my tax dollars. Seizing it from Spain was a strategic necessity in ancient times but those are over. As citizens anyone desiring to remain such could do so and live there like other expats under a foreign government so no one would be worse off.
