  3. I hope someone somewhere captured a Tornado takeoff or burner run audio in FULL DYNAMIC RANGE. The auditory experience of fighters is no small part of working with/near them. Video camera mics etc aren't even close to good enough and that experience must be heard/felt to be appreciated. Other great aircraft like the Century series have passed into history without quality recordings ("hot streak" afterburner ignition was especially impressive). While Desert Storm audio gear couldn't do them justice I quite enjoyed hearing Tornado in person at the time (I was an F-16 engine troop out of Shaw AFB). If any runnable historic examples or engines exist (old USAF engines are sometimes converted to ground power production) I strongly suggest the Imperial War Museums record one in full reheat and if you've not heard one before you will understand why.
