Truckers have different fuel tanks designed to easily handle that flow rate. On autos that would be a disaster since their tanks must fill through restrictive filler necks with anti-rollover check valves and fuel nozzle restrictors (though leaded gas is mostly a memory except for racing and generaly aviation).

As if Jag could ever be relevant again. Enjoy past glories and move on.

Apparently certain parts of the world are deeply fond of bureaucracy and citizens are too cowardly to lobby for change. The idea government should serve the citizens rather than rule them appears alien outside the Americas. Democracy without civic activism is slavery.

BEV were a mistake in the first place and an impressive fire hazard (disingenuous comparisons to the contrary).Europeans rightly understand the US is no longer an ally so they've no reason to care what happens to US manufacturers. Europe should be building its own designs in the first place.

A real mechanic can work on any vehicle given accurate tech data. (Mech and tech since the 1970s here, aircraft on down.) The mechanic shortage is because mechanics are treated like serfs, overworked, underpaid and disrespected. No wonder so many leave the industry for greener pastures. An auto mechanic is expected to work on vehicles not designed with the slightest consideration for repair or maintenance, master increasingly VARIED and complex systems and get work done on the "flat rate" basis which does not reflect reality of task performance. Mechanics are looked down on if we work on cars for the public so I don't and wrench my own rides instead. Nothing about BEV should be difficult by car standards and given accurate service manuals, but what seriously good technician would want to when there's more money for less suffering in heavy equipment, industrial etc work?

Not a problem if towing on a rollback carrier and the operator uses straps instead of chains. A good rollback operator would get that instantly because dumping a vehicle is quick as cutting the straps on the rear in a dire emergency if it's dangerous to release ratchet straps then raising the bed and paying out the winch line letting gravity unload the vehicle which it will do even with wheels locked. I keep a good serrated knife for cutting seat belts in salvage yards (they make nice engine lifting straps) and those will cut through a tow bridle strap laughing all the way. No sane operator would "avoid" a paying job so that smells like he was having you on.

@ChadBoss-qr4hl Whiners are already in a bad mood and most non-mechanics think everything should be free. They should price towing equipment, shop insurance, real estate for the tow yard, vehicle liability coverage, tools and equipment but they won't as the typical non-technical human is helpless as an infant.

EV are still so early in their development that no reason exists for other than the wealthy to own one. This is quite like the first two decades of the last century and as NEW VEHICLES ARE TOY PURCHASES it does not matter much. There will be legal difficulties imposed on ICE owners, but that's the free choice of voters in nations indifferent to individual freedom of choice. I don't live there and have enough vehicles for the next thirty years and am stocking sufficient spares. Mechanics will ride, the rest will pay, and they did this to themselves eyes wide open.

I don't forget only currently available tech is relevant. BTW the first ICE piston engine was the Lenoir invented in the late 1850s.
