  3. Nothing is sillier than risking your life to play in water, because most of the world is covered with it. There is zero need to go to a failed narcostate merely for fun. The victims made the desperately naive mistake of thinking they have rights outside the US. No one NEEDS to go to Mexico except diplomatic personnel or others who are issued or can afford a PSD for protection. CA has no shortage of surf and keeping your money at home supports many small businesses who are struggling in today's economy. If you want to play overseas Australia is a fine option.

  5. Educated men failed at the most basic due diligence because they permitted themselves to think like children. Rush had more than enough money to copy successful designs, but he chose to beta test with other fools. It is arguable given prior record that every one of them was grossly negligent. They were educated accomplished people who forgot plot armor isn't real.

  6. Military aviation is risky even in training. The aviation-illiterate tend to have a Hollywood fantasy concept of aircraft but reality is different. If the helo did a CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain) there may be no intact electronics to indicate location. Things used to be much more dangerous. For example during the 1980s USAF Safety folks accurately predicted the loss of roughly a fighter squadron per year worth of tactical aircraft losses and accurately predicted most of the causes. Crashes today are less common but some inevitably happen. Those curious can visit each services safety sites and learn more about Class A mishaps. It's interesting stuff. (Retired fighter fixer here.)

  8. You clearly never served and know nothing of military aviation nor do your upvoters. Rotary wing missions have always been higher risk and with so many thousands of sorties a few don't come back. We lose over 30,000 civilians to car crashes yearly and drive to the funerals, but if an aircraft digs a hole suddenly it's a "conspiracy". Do you really expect aircraft never to crash? No one who flies or fixes them for a living does.

  9. A towing company refusing to tow an abandoned vehicle is pretty lame, but there is a way around it by hiring a towing company far away so the recovery fees are higher. Get written or recorded refusals by all the local companies to support using a non-local business. If you have a similar problem spend a few hours on towing and recovery forums AND obtain YOUR jurisdictions laws in print so you have a hard copy to show cops.
