  1. Much of the West was built by emigrants including my ancestors. Take full advantage of the opportunity! If the US turns to shit I'll be an expat in a heartbeat. It would have been wise to prepare an exit over time to decrease uncertainty, but many have succeeded starting with less. You like my Polish, German, Italian, Irish etc ancestors really lucked out in the end because the further away one is from (permanent) European historic instability opens future opportunities. It does not feel like it right now, but Russia never had a chance and all that was culturally self-inflicted since long before 1917. You'll make it eventually though it will suck for some time. Your education, strength and competence will see you through. We make our own luck.
