@soheil527 Chechnya has been abused by Russia for centuries. People don't revolt for nothing, especially over such a very long time.

@Silver_Prussian Russians did every bit of the stealing which is why post-USSR Russia is a social failure while post-Mao China dominates world trade and lifted billions out of poverty. The mistake was trying to help Russia because Russian culture precludes any style of government but tyranny being effective. The barbarous Asiatic east is not European and immune to civilization it apes without success. Russia can only be ruled by tyrants because the Russian people naturally prefer a strong master like their national heroes Lenin and Stalin. Russia has wiped out or exiled its intelligentsia since Tsarist times such that anyone sane emigrates ASAP. (The US has many Russian neighborhoods filled by centuries worth of escapees.)

@ZeroResurrected Given Russian policy over hundreds of years including mass deportation it's easy to see why they fought so hard against their home being invaded. Russia does not bring civilization else its victims would not fight so hard.

I like how (most) Americans (why would anyone be proud to be a Valley Girl which always stood for a consumerist airhead?) have no idea of Russo-Chechen history. If someone invaded Cali and did to you and yours what Russian forces did to Chechens even you might fight back.
