  1. Finland wisely appreciates Russia is an ontological enemy of civlization. Russia was their enemy under Tsar, Bolshevik, Stalinist, etc etc through Putin because the Russian people are enemies of civilization as a group. Russian leaders don't pull the triggers, commit the rapes (common in the Russo-Finnish War), murder civilians or enslave their conquests. The tens of millions of Russian people who did and do those things are the root cause of Russian savagery, and because Russia has nukes it will never be conquered so it can never change. Finland and the rest of Europe must never forget Russia itself it their enemy and everyone among them who favors Russia is a traitor and sellout. Europe should permanently end trade with Russia because detente was worse than a failure. Detente revived the Russian enemy via oil and gas revenues.
