@Gustavo-vs6qy They should not have believed in those institutions in the first place. The idea a nuclear nation would self-sacrifice by engaging in nuclear warfare to support an ally is absurd, but that idea was deeply cherished for economic reasons. You either own nukes or choose to be at the mercy of those who do. Disarmament is renouncing the ability to defend oneself.

That was before idiocracy irreversibly took over as democracy ensures. That doesn't make democracy bad, but it does limit how long it can last before the masses break it.

@eliman47 They don't mean that, they just aren't quite ready to admit selling out Ukraine is on the menu. NONE of that "killing" affects the US which didn't care about two decades of the foredoomed strategic mistake that was the US-Afghan war. No American needs to care about Russian casualties unless they simp for Putin.

@Bertinator-nm9ld Being a vet in no way implies intelligence. Ask any vet how may dummies we had to work with while serving. All being a vet means (absent other individual actions) is they showed up at MEPS then did as directed well enough to not get booted. That's not a high bar. Armed forces must use the clay they are given. Force cultures differ too. Those not wanting to fall victim to our incompetent politicians often opt for the Navy or Air Force (and now, Space Force).
