  1. China can afford it since trade with the US alone produces more than sufficient profit to pay for Beijings entire armed forces. I don't laugh at their choices because my taxes pay for their weapons, US weapons including the Navy expensively deterring (for now) Beijings ratural aggression. and in general fund the whole circus. Even more amusing are Americans object to helping people who REALLY fight for our shared traditional values against our historic Russian cultural opponent but grovel before any tyrant who humors them.
