Pakistan is a permanent, existential and untenable threat to India by choice. Pakistan sabotaged the Coalition efforts in Afghanistan because it prefers the Taliban to any freer government in order to leverage Pan-Islamism against India. Now domestic "Pakiban" have Afghan support and a government in Islamabad as bad as that the Talibs overthrew in Kabul. If it is not possible to neutralize its nuclear weapons when the government collapses India may be forced into a counterforce strike...
