  1. Great for investors if those properties are auctioned off. Moderns don't realize cities are CYCLIC. New York was never good, just different. For example the 1970s and '80s crime rate dwarfed todays. The sooner NY real estate (which will never be cheap) values correct the sooner gentrification can continue to improve th city for anyone who has any business case for living there. If you're not doing well where you are, stop being there. I did. The US is enormous and there are plenty of affordable areas to live where you can do things few can in NYC like own property.
