  2. Politics is war. Disagreement over fundamental issues is enmity so no sense pretending otherwise. If the old GOP regime who patronized Americans they never intended to represent had not included them to exploit them by the Southern Strategy the so0called "classic conservatives" (sounds better than "bankster pimps") would still be in power, but they couldn't resist exploiting the GOP base who are now after their scalps. Human nature means the so-called swamp will never be drained but the operation can change hands and it's hilarious to watch.
