  1. I love my family but they dont get to dictate where I live, and my choice to live in a freer affordable place is why I was able to care for my father in my home in his last years. My parents were both lucky my sister and I GTFO our home town as my sister cared for our mother and I cared for my father when they no longer could care for themselves. Being intelligent they encouraged us to seek our fortunes.

  2. If that happened to me I'd sell my home to Blackrock out of spite and leave anyway. There is NO reason for "honest working class citizens" to voluntarily remain in California. I left my home state for similar reasons and don't miss it a bit. I visit friends and family of course and pity the ones who aren't preparing to cash out and move out (which used to be the standard).

  4. GOOD and make it ten years instead. I say that as a Northern transplant (who is much further right wing than most of the South where I moved to so we get along fine).

  5. Too bad states cannot vote their own internal immigration rules to keep socialist enemies where they belong. Californians VOTED to destroy California. That is their right but they should at least man up and sleep in the bed they made.
