  1. Prepping for those who seriously expect to do well is just living a robust lifestyle. If you cannot overhaul, maintain and repair nearly everything you need, you're not prepping just LARPing. If you don't have livestock or other food source you control, you're not prepping just LARPing. Everything one does to be more personally capable saves gobs of money so I get paid to have fun. (If self-reliance isn't fun you're doing it wrong.)

  2. The world is overpopulated already nor is there an obligation to inflict the general unpleasantness of life by creating a sentient being. The world functioned fine with population levels far smaller than today and Western nations were more comfortable and far less crowded in 1960 than 2023. Go child free and you will have far more freedom and financial security in a world where both are precarious (another reason not to torture an innocent person with existing).
