@KrisD007 Old engineering data was not stored like data is today. Many items they may have specs for would still be long out of production by companies which no longer exist. NASA doesn't make most of its own part just like the Air Force does not make aircraft. When experts retire their skills retire with them which is far more than makes it to print.

@ksmith96 Refusal to believe any evidence for anything exists is as bad as believing in everything. Soviet propaganda of the time (I was alive then) very much made a race of it and they were quite proud of their work. There are far more media sources than the US government. Most Americans read at therefore are limited to thinking at an 8th grade level. That means they can cannot grasp complex concepts. If they didn't see it happen, it's not real to them.
