  1. Leather can be safely and organically tanned. Failure to do so by third worlders in an utterly corrupt region is not the fault of leather which indigenous peoples worldwide have tanned for millennia. Their culture does not value life and it shows in practice (theory anywhere means nothing). Their masters are killing them for profit.
