@harry-eto Now compare KINDS of fire. A rare fire you cannot personally extinguish vs. more common fires you can is the question because not all fires are the same.

What do you imagine a garage accomplishes outside areas with heavy winters?

@AJzilllaPro Diesel and petrol cars are easy to put out. Been there, done that. If a BEV lights off there is no useful homeowner response except calling the fire department while still losing your home if your BEV is in an attached garage. I have industrial fire extinguishers for my personal shop but those are useless against battery fires.
