The fools who made Putin and his oligarchs billions buying gas betrayed their own cultures for money. It's tough for Ukraine but Russia has not yet sustained serious losses in personnel (they don't care about anyone not a Muscovite) or people who matter. Losses so far are the usual bottom feeders except perhaps a privileged few on Moskva. Russia is not "tired" in the sense Western countries tire of war. It can shrug off half a million KIA but the equipment losses are key because metal is expensive while cannon fodder are either free or people like convicts and oppressed rural minorities Moscow prefers deceased.
