  1. Look after your tires so you don't become a meat crayon! When I taught USAF MSF courses some students insisted their tires were not worn beyond limits because the centers weren't bald yet. I took a shop takeoff bald tire and had machine shop cut out a six-inch section to pass around. That got the point across. Angle grinders with abrasive cutoff wheels work nicely if you want a shop example (I left one where I part-timed so the owner had a visual aid for customers to fondle) or are curious how dangerously thin bald motorbike tires really are.

  2. @kurio999 nailed it. LIGHTWEIGHT "electric motorcycles" which have pedals for decoration OTOH are selling like mad because they are the perfect rulebeater which does everything an ICE bike does in urban areas and much more because it can silently use areas motorcycles cannot. Motorbikes in the US are for very old men (don't blame me, read the stats) and even I would go ebike if I'd made the mistake of living in dense urban area. Ebikes do everything my Honda 250 Elsinore did on the stree but don't have to stay there.
