@kurio999 nailed it. LIGHTWEIGHT "electric motorcycles" which have pedals for decoration OTOH are selling like mad because they are the perfect rulebeater which does everything an ICE bike does in urban areas and much more because it can silently use areas motorcycles cannot. Motorbikes in the US are for very old men (don't blame me, read the stats) and even I would go ebike if I'd made the mistake of living in dense urban area. Ebikes do everything my Honda 250 Elsinore did on the stree but don't have to stay there.
